Congratulations Joe!
Congratulations to one of our Systems Designers, Joe Klaus on winning first place in Ranch Sorting at the 2012 Salem County Fair!
Ranch Sorting is an event that pits a team of two riders on horseback against the clock. Teamwork is the key with both riders working in harmony to cut out the correctly numbered cattle and drive them to a specified pen while keeping the wrong numbered cattle back. There are several variations of ranch sorting, but all require sorting the cattle from one pen to the other in the correct numerical order in less than 60 seconds.
Joe Klaus and his teammate, Joe Zemick, placed first out of 134 teams signed up for the event! They sorted 10 cattle in 37.4 seconds, 16.6 seconds faster than any other competing team. The prize was a beautiful new belt buckle created by Montana Silversmiths engraved with the Fair information and the category. Congratulations on your accomplishment, Joe! We're proud of you!
