Over the years, the sump pump had sunk from its original position, causing the vapor barrier to detach from the walls and cover the sump with dirt.  Foundations are constantly moving, and though this is a rare case, it can happen. When this was discovered during the service, our Lead Technician, Bryan, restored the system to look and run like new.
