This homeowner in West Chester, PA had a bowing wall along the outside of their home. In addition to the bowing, the wall had a large crack running both vertically and horizontally, giving the homeowner major concerns.
Luckily, they contacted Dry Guys Basement Systems to get the job done. Our crew assessed the situation and determined that installing several anchor plates would stabilize the wall. We went ahead with the project and now the homeowner has piece of mind that their exterior wall is stable.
Before Dry Guys, this crawl space in Pedricktown, NJ experienced high humidity levels and musty smells. Even though the home had a poured concrete foundation, moisture from outside was still able to seep through and collect, turning this space into a scary horror show. The humidity levels quickly became too much for the homeowner. During the winter, the floors would be ice cold making it impossible to walk around without having to wear multiple pairs of socks. The summer months would leave the house with a pungent, musty smell easily noticed by anyone who opened the front door. Dry Guys arrived swiftly to stop these issues. Our CleanSpace Encapsulation System and Drainage Matting were installed to stop moisture and humidity. SilverGlo Insulation was installed along the walls to prevent the homes controlled air from seeping out and outside air from coming in. With our system installed, this family is safe and comfortable, even the dog enjoys napping on the warm floor.
When the homeowner noticed their basement was getting flooded, they called Dry Guys. Dry Guys came and found that the sump pump was old. They would have to replace it with a new one, thanks to this the basement is now waterproof.
Built only on cornerstones, this homeowner in Mauricetown was worried about their kitchen being structurally unsafe. Knowing it was a problem, they called Dry Guys to come and help fix the foundation wall. When Dry Guys arrived at the scene they made sure to work on replacing the masonry. By taking this course of action, a new foundation wall was built to secure the safety of the kitchen which helped to but the homeowner worries at ease.
The homeowner of this crawl space realized they were having problems with the structural safety of their house, so they knew it was time to call Dry Guys to come and solve their problems. After replacing the masonry of the house, the next step was to re-level the floors of the house in order to match the new foundation that was built. This is where our product SmartJack comes in, the SmartJack provides a solid support that will restore the floor level of the house. With the help of this product and others, this house will be structurally safe once again.
Windows not closing right? Doors that were level, but are now crooked? These are common symptoms related to serious foundation problems.
Before Dry Guys, this home in Deptford, NJ experienced the same issues. A wall crack like this is common when an area experiences a lot of rainfall or freezing temperatures. When it rains, the soil soaks up water like a sponge and expands. This makes the soil heavier and increases the amount of hydro-static pressure pushing against the wall.
The same goes for cold weather. When the temperature drops below freezing, the moisture in the soil freezes and expands the same way a water bottle would if left in the car during winter. If issues like this aren't corrected, the home's foundation has a greater chance of collapsing.
To fix this issue, Dry Guys installed our patented PowerBrace System. This system freezes the inward wall movement and even has the potential to return the wall to the original position over time. Thanks to Dry Guys, this home is structurally sound and safe! The homeowner's next step would be our Waterguard Perimeter Drainage System to protect against future seepage.
John was trying to sell his property in Bellmawr, NJ until an inspector discovered his basement walls were bowing in towards the home. This is caused by extreme amounts of pressure put on the walls which developed a vertical crack along the cinderblock wall. Problems like this only get worse over time and will lead to the wall collapsing and possibly a collapse of the structure. Knowing the home was a safety hazard and wouldn't sell, he called Dry Guys to help. Our System Designer Mike G. prescribed our patented CarbonArmour Carbon Fiber Strap System. How do carbon fiber straps fix this issue? Imagine squeezing two wooden blocks together and poking them in the middle. The blocks will begin to bow in the same way John's wall did and eventually fly from your hand. Now imagine a piece of tape where the break in the blocks would occur. Not as easy to squeeze. Isn't it? These straps provide tension strength to the wall, which makes the foundation exponentially stronger! With our CarbonArmour System, the new homeowners will never have to worry about their foundation collapsing beneath them!
Providing drainage for your home could be quite a challenge for a typical french drain company. Your basement is home to more than your cherished family pictures and unused workout equipment. Your HVAC or oil tank could be a difficult obstacle to navigate around without the correct system. Dry Guys not only provides a patented drainage system that is less likely to clog compared to a french drain but is capable of navigating the "not so easy to move" equipment that is essential to your home. Our team will design the system that works best for your home, ensuring your flooding problems are a thing of the past.
Alberta had a problem with water entering her basement through her basement door. The harder it rained, the more disastrous the result. She had 2 other companies examine this issue before going with Dry Guys for our fair pricing, as well as our honest and professional sales rep! Our plan here was not to stop the water at the door, but to give it a different path to follow other than the concrete floor. We installed our patented WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage System and TripleSafe Sump Pump System. These two create a powerful combination that keeps the home dry all the time!
The owner of this basement had previously DryGuys come to install a Sump Pump to their basement. Now they wanted to finish their basement, so they once again called DryGuys to come back out to install the ZenWall™ to finish their basement. ZenWall™ has the property to create a heat-reflective vapor barrier and insulation on the walls.
Being so close to the shore, Karen knows that the threat of flooding is a constant worry. When her summer home burst a pipe, she started looking for a contractor to fix it online. She stumbled upon Dry Guys and the vast amount of services we provide to keep homes safe and dry. While pipe fixes is a job for a plumber, Karen wanted to be proactive and protect her investment for the future. The Dry Guys team rolled out their CleanSpace Vapor Barrier and installed one of our patented Sump Pump Systems. Our vapor barrier will protect the home from moisture coming up from the ground and through the concrete wall, keeping mold and musty smells from occupying the property. Our high-performance/efficiency Sanidry Sedona Dehumidifier eliminates present damp, musty odors while drying and filtering the air. Water pulled by this system is drained into one of our patented SmartSump System, which is capable of pumping 2500 gallons of water per hour! What started as a bad day ended in a win for Karen's summer home!
