Sump Pump Anti-Freeze Discharge Device

Without a system to protect you in the winter, a sump pump discharge line could freeze and block your pump from removing water. The end of pipes can also become covered with snow or ice, again blocking discharge. An IceGuard sump pump discharge line system prevents water from being pumped back into your home if something outside freezes.

If the sump pump discharge line pipe becomes blocked for any reason, the IceGuard system releases water outside instead of back into the house. No matter the reason, IceGuard will allow water to escape without any hoses to attach or valves to turn – it is completely automatic! When the blockage is cleared, the water will go back to running along the normal route without any additional work or worry for you.

The photo to the left illustrates the need for such a system. When this home’s discharge line was frozen and blocked by snow and ice, the IceGuard system allowed water to be released outside the house during multiple pump cycles. This basement was saved from flooding by IceGuard, even in these extraordinary conditions!

IceGuard’s patented design lets water escape automatically through the perforations. This lets water out when it can’t go through the normal discharge route due to snow, ice, or some other blockage.
