Daily April Fun!
Starting April 1, 2015, the Dry Guys team will be posting daily pictures of our Mascot created by the Graphics Technology students from Salem County Vocational Technical School!
In 2014, Dry Guys was the first company to utilize a Work Study student from the SCVTS Graphics Program. We currently have an intern from the Program on staff this year, Emily Alexander, as well as a graduate of the Program, Jaynelle McWilliams, on staff as an employee.
The idea to bring together some of the other students was simple, we just needed a project. In the end, we settled on the Month of April Follies. There are National, religious, and absolutely ridiculous (example: Sorry Charlie Day) holidays throughout the month, so the Dry Guys team will be posting a new picture of our “mascots” Al E. Gator, along with his wife, Allie Gator, and Junior, their alligator son, daily from today (April 1) through the last day of the month (April 30th) on the Dry Guys Basement Systems Facebook page. As a family business, we couldn’t just have Al E. Gator, we brought his family into our marketing as well!
Mr. Joseph Monzo, the Graphics Department teacher at SCVTS, stated, "I am very pleased to have my graphics students working in conjunction with Dry Guys for a local business project! It ‘s always a valuable learning experience for students to work on real-world projects with real parameters and deadlines, as well as providing great portfolio work."
